This Privacy Policy describes how Accounting Tutor ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our iOS application ("the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy.

1. Information We Collect

The App stores your practice progress (completed transactions, accuracy scores, and step-level results) exclusively on your device using Apple's standard local storage (UserDefaults). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly back it up through iCloud or iTunes, which is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

We do not collect:

Your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information
Location data
Device identifiers for advertising purposes
Usage analytics or crash reports sent to our servers

2. Subscriptions and Purchases

The App offers an optional subscription to unlock full content. In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. If you purchase a subscription, Apple shares only the information necessary to verify your purchase (such as a transaction receipt). We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat may process a pseudonymous user identifier and purchase receipt data on our behalf. You can review RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

We do not store payment card information. All payment processing is handled by Apple.

3. How We Use Information

Local progress data is used solely to display your results within the App and is never transmitted to us. Subscription receipt data is used only to verify whether you have an active subscription.

4. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party service:

RevenueCat – subscription management. See their privacy policy.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your information to any other third parties.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

All locally stored progress data can be cleared at any time from within the App (Progress screen → Clear). Deleting the App from your device permanently removes all locally stored data.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
